T-Baer to Hafnarfjordur - A day in Reykjavik ............................... 52 km (31 mi)
We'll be home tomorrow night, Sat., August 4, 2018 ... jackets are going in the bags! Shorts are handy, hopefully there will be time between flights in DFW to change.

Our email address is gusrox30@gmail.com . Feel free to drop a note and say hello anytime!

We turned in our little camper van this morning. It worked out well for us. Definitely warmer & dryer than a tent!
It’s a rainy day, but the geese don’t mind.
Different way to check in. We made a reservation before leaving Reykjavík. While we were away, we got an email with a door code. Upon arriving we used the code to get into the building & found a list of names & room keys.
Waiting for the public bus to take us into Reykjavík, about a 20 minute ride.
Wandering around, we found some interesting paint jobs.
And sculptures. This represents a faceless bureaucratic, it’s just outside of city hall. The gull must represent something (hee, hee).
A public water closet (toilet). Just make sure you have a couple hundred krona coins as some are not free. We found this to be true through out the country.
Hallgrimskirkja Lutheran church. Construction began in 1945 & was completed in the 1980s.
Cool sailing ship in dock.
Flowers, flowers everywhere beautiful flowers. Places with lots of snow & long, dark winters tend to love colorful flower displays.
