1-24-14 ... Sea day today & tomorrow --humph no penguins. Lectures today on what's changed in science, technology, mgmt, support& culture in the last 40 yrs on Antarctica by retired USA program leader Dave Breshnahan. Also lecture by Chis Wilson on his great uncle's (Edward Adrian Wilson--akaTed) expeditions to Antarctica in early 1900's as scientific leader & illustrator (water colorist) & map maker. Evidently the book of his travels can be bought on Amazon. Edward Adrian Wilson "Antarctic Notebooks". We have a new towel pet and are learning how our cabin guy makes them. Even bought a book on it. (See pics). Sea is rough today but mostly sunny and much warmer (highs in 50's) as we head North to Punte del este Uruguay (Sunday) and then to Montevideo Uruguay (Monday). Buenos Aires on Tues then home Wed. Whew. The Indonesian ship staff are presenting a show for everyone tonite at 11 pm. Toni is crashed & I am trying to stay awake so I can go. We'll see.

Sat 1-25-14 ... We both fell asleep watching Happy Feet on the tv so no go on the Indonesian show. Seas are still a little rough but not as bad as last nite. Pool's full of water (they drained it while we were in Antarctica--not sure why) again so will spend part of the day up there getting used to warmer weather & catching some Vit D. Captain's lunch today (for people who have sailed with Holland Amer before) and dinner tonite at the specialty restaurant Pinnacle Grill with our new friends from NY & Texas.
