1. Make yourself readily available for anything:
helping out with drills, setting up for anything, retrieving balls
without being asked, about 1000 different things.
2. Make sure the first aid kit is always full of the appropriate
items. I will tape a list on the inside cover. Keep the first aid kit
closed because tape melts in the sun.
3. As soon as you get out there, the bases should be put on the
infield. And after practice the bases should be picked up and the
base anchor or a rag stuffed in the hole to prevent it from filling
up with dirt. Please remind each baseman to do this.
4. Get all equipment out daily.
5. Be the last one to go in (make sure nothing is left out that
belongs to the team or any player or COACH) and make sure you lock
the batting cage.
6. Perfect attendance -- all the time and Saturdays when announced.
If you do get sick, you must call in (480-472-xxxx), just as the
players have to do when they are sick.
7. Be punctual---even be early.
8. ATTITUDE -- You are not assistant coaches and we do not wish to
hear who you think should be playing. You are NOT to bad-mouth any
players, coaches, drills, workouts, on or off the field. With
players, this means either to their face or behind their back. Our
program is the best in Arizona and we expect all players and managers
to be proud at all times. If you show respect towards the players,
they will show respect towards you. If you have any problems or
suggestions, please see the head coach.
I understand the conditions for manager. I understand that there
is a lot of responsibility the coaches give me and I, in return, will
do my very best. I also will try to regularly lift the team spirits
of all those involved (maybe even laugh at the coaches
jokes).
