2002 EAST VALLEY BADMINTON STANDINGS

The regional champion is determined by the league record. (see the bottom of this page for rules concerning ties) From the regional tournament, the top 4 singles players and 4 doubles teams will go on to the state singles and doubles Individual Tournament. The Team State Championships will be played at home sites on Mon and the semi's and finals will be played at North Canyon High School on Tues. and Wed. The singles and doubles individual state championships will be played at North Canyon High School on Fri & Sat. For a breakdown of which schools are in each of the 4 badminton regions, click here. Criteria for Regional Team Champion and Runner-Up:

The first two teams from each region go into the State Team Championships.

League win loss record
Head to head results in two teams are tied
If three teams are tied, look only at the head to head matches. Add the wins of the dual match singles and doubles of only these three teams.
If we are now down to two teams still tied, go back to the head to head match.
If we are still tied at 3 teams, add up total singles and doubles wins with all regional school only.
If we are then down to two teams tied for total points, go back to the head to head match.
