Day 67 - Otter Lake, MI to Marysville, MI - 68 miles ...... 2970 total miles
Janet & Frank invited us for breakfast at their camper before we took off from Otter Lake. Great folks! Our ride took us thru more farmland. We saw a sign for fresh peaches and had to stop. Enjoyed chatting with Gina, the shopkeeper, and sampling the delicious peaches. After lunch we road on another rail trail from Avoca to Wadhams. The first section was crushed limestone which was just fine to ride on. The trail went over the Mill Creek Trestle built in the late 1800's, it's 60' high and 640' long! The traffic increased and the road deteriorated after we left the trail. Fortunately it wasn't too far to our hotel in Marysville. Happy to find a guest laundry here at the hotel. Simple pleasures!

Day 68 - Marysville, MI to Ridgetown, ON -
64 miles ....... 3034 total miles
We rode 15 miles along the St. Clair River to Marine City where we crossed the river on the Blue Water car ferry. Another state down! We were the only passengers on the ferry. We disembarked in Sombra, ON Canada. Our ride continued thru farmland and orchards. The terrain is flat, we did have one incline over a highway. We discovered public restrooms (washrooms) are not available at most convince stores ........ new challenges! Tonight we're staying at a B&B in Ridgetown. We made the arrangements by email and phone tag. The owner had other plans tonight and left a key under the mat for us. Great spot, cool, comfortable and quiet.

We had the whole ferry to ourselves crossing the St. Clair River!
It was a quick ride, less than 5 minutes.
