Day 66 - Midland, MI - Otter Lake, MI - 69 miles ...... 2902 total miles
A day of rail trails, 3 different ones! Just outside Bay City along the Saginaw River we picked up the Bay City Loop Trail. Had a bit of trouble following it thru the city, gave us the opportunity to meet a friendly runner! We peddled over many bridges. A bit later we rode 4 miles on the Harger Line Trail north of Frankenmuth, a Bavarian tourist town. From Millington we found the Southern Links Trailway which brought us to a campground on Otter Lake where we're spending the night. Met Janet & Frank, a friendly couple from Detroit, who shared stories with us. They're retired and also into bicycling. Fun to hear about the riding they've done and all the trails here in Michigan.

The Boardwalk is part of the Bay City Loop Trail. Really made getting lost much more pleasant.

This is taken in Frankenmuth, a Bavarian City in the middle of Michigan.
A very popular destination.

Haven't seen such huge trees! Not only are they big, but there are so many different kinds.
We're starting to make up names for all the different plant life.
