Day 63 - Manitowoc, WI to Ludington, MI - 3 miles .......... 2684 total miles
We enjoyed the morning walking around Manitowoc before our 2 pm departure on the Badger, the only coal fired steamship in North America. The Badger is a huge car ferry that started operating across Lake Michigan in 1953. It's a 4 hour ride, 60 mile trip across the lake to Ludington. We met several groups of cyclists on board, a couple from Michigan, a dad and daughter traveling cross country from Washington to Maine and the 2 guys we met in Little Falls, Minnesota. We have a hotel reservation in Ludington tonight, a new state for us! A great day celebrating Linda's 60th birthday!

We spent the morning walking around Manitowoc. There is a trail along Lake Michigan
that goes past the marina.

This trailer is parked outside a Budweiser brewing plant. This trailer is loaded with hops.
For all you beer drinkers of Bud out there, please notice the geese. Nuff said!
