Day 53 - North Branch, MN to White Bear, MN - 34 miles ....... 2310 total miles
Woke up to another beautiful day, sunny, warm and not too humid. Didn't have much energy though, I think our bodies knew it was going to be fewer miles! We picked up the Sunrise Prairie/Hardwood Creek bike trail in North Branch, an old Burlington Northern rail trail, and rode along it about 25 miles south to Hugo. Again it was great to be away from traffic. We rode to Linda's Mom's home in White Bear. Mom was waiting outside to greet us, along with her neighbor Betsy, and documented our arrival with a few pics. Amazing to ride here on a bicycle after many years of flying and driving, wasn't sure it would ever happen! We had dinner with friends, Mom's neighbors, Dave and Judy at their home. Great meal and evening visiting and sharing travel adventures.

The mileage for the Sunrise Prairie/Hardwood Creek bike trails. Minnesota has really made good use of the old railroad beds. The orange sign with arrow is designating the snowmobile route.
Most of the trails have cleared ground next to the asphalt for snow machines.

A view of Forest Lake from the overpass. We have a beautiful day.

The buildings on the right were for grain storage, which is probably why the railroad
tracks were so close.

Linda with Mom (Rose). Rose was waiting with her camera ready to snap the shot of us
riding into her driveway. We never thought we would actually ride to her home!

Enjoying dinner with Judy, Mom & Dave at their home in White Bear just down the road from Mom.
