Day 43 - Steele, ND to Jamestown, ND - 61 miles ........ 1790 total miles.
We woke up to the train whistle. Our motel was right next to the tracks. We're getting used to trains, seems we've been close to tracks since Helena, MT. We heard several thru the night. Today is cloudy and cool with a WNW wind, pretty favorable overall. We stopped for a lunch break in the town of Medina. The cafe is classic small town, lots of locals which is always a good sign. It got quite busy and some of the diners were pressed into service as waitresses! They are very pleasant and knowledgeable, able to give us first hand recommendations. The prices are VERY reasonable. Like $2.75 for a BLT. The favorable wind continued and we cruised in Jamestown. After a shower we walked to find dinner. Looking forward to a good rest tonight as the forecast is for headwinds all day tomorrow.

Median Cafe in Median, ND about a mile off I-94. Good food and a nice break from the wind.
Typical of the small towns we're passing thru, good food, good prices and friendly folks!

Here's the breakfast menu, our favorite meal anytime of the day.

The road has looked pretty much like this for days. Good shoulders keep us
about 8' from traffic. Noisy, but the separation sure is comfortable.

No flats, but the rear tires seem to need air every day or so. Linda got a new pump in
Missoula, MT and just loves to use it.
