Yahooooo, we have started our Grand Adventure! Beautiful day on the coast. Sunny, not much wind and temps in the 60s. Deb & Perrin took us to the beach for the official start. We then rode 3 miles to the hotel for breakfast ::)). Did you know that when you start a ride at sea level, every mile is uphill? The day was everything we had hoped for. Sunny, winding roads thru forest, pastures and along rivers. We couldn't stop smiling, even when the headwinds and hills joined us. Rode about 65 miles today, ending at The Cat Bird Seat B & B. Beautiful home, peaceful setting and wonderful hostess. Made us breakfast for dinner! Provided Epsom salts for a soda; we must have looked a bit tired. Crashed very early wondering if we would be able to get out of bed in the morning and what the bike seat may feel like. ....... ......
