Rules
that only apply to Kokopelli
Bunkers
All bunkers are a free drop and you can drop beside the bunker
but make sure you are not closer to the hole than where the ball
finished in the bunker. Our bunkers are always wet with no sand
because the sprinklers fill them up and this is a course rule
and not just a ladies league rule.
Weed
Piles
There are some piles of weeds located around the course that swallow
up your ball and you cannot even see your ball and they do not
cut or trim them at all. Take your ball out and drop your ball
not closer to the hole with a free drop. (and you may find other
balls in these weeds)
Rules
that Kokopelli Ladies League has adopted and other clubs might have
voted it in at the AWGA/AGA suggestion to speed up play.

Out
of Bounds Ruling
For 2 penalty strokes, guess where the ball went out of bounds,
drop the ball on the fairway not nearer the hole and you do not
have to go back and hit from where you did before
make
sure you watch the video link above to explain this rule.
Rule
for Posting Scores
If you pick up for
any reason, as for me, it is always my knee:
1. You are out of the
29 putt club
2. You might or might
not be out of the play of the day.
Drop out on an odd hole and pod is even hole, you are still in
pod
Drop any hole on back or front nine and pod is the opposite front
or back and you are still in pod
Pod is overall putts, you are out of pod
But you must post your
score as per rules below for posting scores
Always post your score
Here are the rules for
posting scores:
...
Here is
how to figure out what score to write down for the hole/holes you
did not play.
You take
the score of the hole plus your handicap strokes.
If you are an 18 handicap then you add 1 stroke to any hole's par
that you picked up your ball or did not play that hole. If you are
a 36 handicap then you add 2 strokes to any hole's par. If you fall
between the numbers then you look at the hole difficulty and if
you were a 19 handicap and picked up on hole 8, that is the #1 hole
difficulty at Kokopelli so you have to add 2 to that hole's par.
So you need to look at the scorecard and there is a column labeled
"Yardage - Handicap" and this tells you the difficulty
rating of all 18 holes. Our hardest hole is #8 followed by #15,
then the third hardest is #1, and the fourth hardest is #18 but
you can figure out how many strokes to add to the hole's par using
this method. Just ask me if you have any questions.
ALWAYS POST your score on the hole by hole method on the blue USGA
GHIN app as it automatically corrects your score if you go over
what you are allowed (which is double bogey plus handicap)
ALWAYS HAVE the red USGA RULES OF GOLF app on your phone to look
up rules quickly but play 2 balls and ask when you get in if no-one
knows the ruling.
YOU ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE FUN
while playing golf no matter what you shoot.
