4-30-15 Cadiz. (Cadith) Spain---Province of Andalusia (Andaluthia)
Beautiful seacoast resort town where they clean the sandy beaches every day--cool eh? They have over 300 days of sunshine here (like Az but not as hot). We spent the day on an excursion to a nearby town--Jerez. Inland with rolling hills & lots of vineyards. Jerez famous for sherries, brandies, other wines---toured one of the biggest cellars--Tio Pepe & had a big tasting of different kinds of sherries. When they say dry they mean dry--less than one gram of sugar per liter. Then the rest of the day spent at the Andalusian equestrian riding school watching them train these magnificent horses. (Much like the Lippizaner horse show in Vienna). Attended a show in their beautiful arena where they performed "their stuff". We were not supposed to take pics but I didn't hear them....heh heh. Great day in an absolutely gorgeous area of Spain. No---didn't buy any sherry but did get a bottle of Tempranillo--yummy red. Note pic of stork nest above horse training area.
