Saturday 4-25-15
It's Saturday
so it has to be Monte Carlo! Did "Off & On" bus tour, saw changing
of the guards at the Prince's palace. The town is preparing for next month's
Grand Prix so bleachers everywhere. Gardens here are spectacular & old
section by palace gorgeous bldgs. No casino for us tho---James Bond not in
town. This place simply reeks of money---cars, clothes, yachts the size of
coast guard vessels---even the dogs wear fancy outfits. Yikes. What fun to
see how the rich & famous live-This was an anchor port as well and we
had to be back on ship early but everyone arrived at the dock at the same
time so it took forever to get onto a tender boat & back to ship. We now
are on our way to Barcelona (arrive 5 am tomorrow) for the second part of
the cruise--ending in Copenhagen. Many passengers getting on ship & many
are leaving.
