Sitting out by the pool as we just left---on our way to Cittavechia port of Rome (90 min bus ride to Rome). Tues was Sardinia & Palermo Sicily today--Wed. After tour around Cagliari Sardinia (little toy cars & scooters everywhere)driver took us to small village & pvt. home yesterday. Tasted fabulous cheeses & meats olives home made bread---from this family's farm. No sardines tho. Oh yes, wine too--pretty good but not like Tuscany. Great folk dancers & music (all members of this family). There is a flamingo preserve on the salt flat. Hundreds & they stay there all year. Who knew! Pics don't do it justice. Lost one of our people in town (she missed our bus---we had to wait on roadside for taxi to bring her to our bus so we could continue---yikes people were so upset about it---hungry, thirsty tourists are a nasty lot.

Today on our own in Palermo Sicily. We picked up a hop on-off bus for a city cruise then hit some shops & found cute little trattoria for lunch. Pesto & pasta for T, clams/mussels for me. Yum! Once again little Fiats & smart cars everywhere---must be careful not to get hit. Cars here have dings & dents all over!! Pick pockets abound here evidently but they didn't score on us. Weather continues to be perfect---sunny & warm 72 or so.

Rome tomorrow!!
