Our day started with a walk down to the Irving River between the small coastal towns of Port Denison and Dongara. This was a great spot for birdwatching. The drive north took us through Geraldton, the largest town between Perth and Darwin, population about 40,000. We had a choice of large grocery stores, Coles, Woolworths, & IGA to restock. The small towns have had very small country stores. We also learned in addition to keep left on the roads, we have to look right first. We ended the day in Kalbarri where the Murchison River empties into the ocean. .
