We saw our first kangaroo today! It bounced across the road quickly, no chance to snap a pic. We're continuing north on Indian Ocean Drive. There are a few small towns and lots of great ocean views..

Sandy Cape Recreation area. We walked up to a boardwalk overlook on the far ridge.
---

Heading up, great sand for walking!

Looking back to the beach we started at.
---

At the top overlooking the next bay.
---

Come over and play! The water’s warm.
---

We found this new walking trail in Green Head, a small coastal town. The trail seemed to be longer than main street!
---

The trail has beautiful overlooks to 3 bays.
---

Processional caterpillars. We read about them, little scary. Their hairs cause hives on people and if eaten by animals cause lots of problems. This is a short train, just 4.
---

The trains can be over 200 caterpillars! Eekkk!!! The internet has lots of info, sometimes more than you want to know! Lesson learned, don’t touch.
---

This is the road we've seen for kilometers. Not much traffic. Low vegetation, wide open space, great ocean views.
