We awoke to a beautiful sunny day, perfect to walk and explore Perth. We headed into town on a series of bike/pedestrian paths along and crossing the Swan River. Perth and surrounding suburbs are home to 2 million folks, about 90% of Western Australia's population. People are friendly, the city is clean with lots of parks & green space. First we had a few tech issues to resolve, SIM cards for our phones and then a visit to an Apple store. Business done, we wandered through downtown, up to Kings Park & Botanic Gardens, toured the Perth Mint and stopped at a neighborhood microbrewery.
