July 15 - Jasper & Banff National Parks-Awesome scenery!

Our email address is gusrox30@gmail.com. Feel free to drop a note and say hello anytime!

Maligne Canyon. There is just sooo much water in this really deep gorge. There are 6 bridges to cross & the whole 2 miles was spectacular!
---

These deer were some of the only wildlife we saw in the parks, probably due to the extreme amount of traffic.

Valley of 5 Lakes trail. 3 mile trail wanders by the lakes. Another beautiful day!
---

We took the Jasper Skytram up the mountain to start a hike to Whistler's Summit.
---

Met this girl on the Whistler's Summit hike. She's a Shibu Inu 9 year old. A Japanese hunting dog. Loves to hike. What a beauty, yah!
---

It was windy at the summit but we had awesome 360 degree views, great reward for the climb up!
---

Athabasca Falls trail used this abandoned water channel to follow the river to several overlooks.
---

This old snowcat was used to take people out on the glacier in the background. We're at the Columbia Icefield Center…along with the rest of Canada. This is no longer a wilderness experience!!! But the scenery remains incredible!

This was our campsite at the Icefield Center. Yes, it's a paved parking lot. It was quiet after 8p when the center closed. We had views of 3 glaciers, cell coverage and Starbucks in the morning when the center opened. LIG
---

Hiked up the Parker Ridge Trail & found snow pretty fast. Didn't have to walk thru much of it. Lots of well designed switchbacks made the uphill easier.
---

The Parker Ridge trail lead us up and along the lateral moraine of the Saskatchewan Glacier. This was our favorite hike so far.

Great trail, great views!
