Janie and Toni's Viking River Cruise

Amsterdam! we sailed into Amsterdam early Sat am & were taken to our hotel that looks like any modern hotel in any big city. Our good dear friends met us & at the hotel & we were off to sight see this crazy city. More bikes than people...dangerous to step into bike lane. Soo Spent the day trying to avoid getting maimed (or worse) by scooters, bikes, trolley cars & itsybitsy cars. 100 miles of canals so took a boat tour then off to the premier Dutch museum--Riejksmuseum---Vermeer, Rembrandt, VanGogh, & more. Museum recently reopened after 10 years renovation. Gorgeous! wandered canal streets & ended our day back in town at a fabulous Italian restaurant (not as good as Toni's cooking but good!). Our friends bought dinner as present for Toni's B Day...tiramisu with Italian singing "happy b day". great fun
