We are on our way to Regensburg---late getting there because of delay in getting thru locks. Rainy out today but not too cold--about 60
Regensburg is one of Bavaria's most well preserved medieval towns. City is oldest on the Danube---2000 yrs. things to see today. Gothic cathedral Dom St. Peter..stone bridge built between1135 & 1146---only solid crossing on the Danube for 800 yrs!! The old town hall Altes Rathaus was the seat of government for 150 yrs. as you can tell, "old" is the world here and it is such a pleasure to see things preserved and not torn down to make strip malls or parking lots!

Got into the dock late so our walking tour didn't end until lunchtime. Rain cooperated & we only had a few spits all morning--even some sun.

We thought we would have lunch at the "Old Sausage kitchen" has been in the same physical location since 1135---yikes that's what I call old! Was a bit chilly to eat outside there so ended up eating lunch at a local brewery---sausages & sauerkraut & local beer. Yum....walked around this wonderful medieval town with all its narrow alleyways. Fit Bit only at 14,000 steps today. Have to get moving more. No gym here so walking is it. Tomorrow is Nuremberg.
